icki has been practicing in the field of Social Work for 26 years primarily in the field of child welfare and youth justice. She continues to hold a position within this sector in the Hamilton community and offers support through a small private practice to adults both in person and through virtual sessions.
Vicki’s practice focuses primarily on those seeking support around issues of grief and loss, either through the death of an important person or through life transition and changes in relationships in their lives. Vicki believes that there is no “right” way to grieve and that often there is a gap in good and supportive information about what grief looks like and how you can be supported. You can find that here. Vicki also invites referrals from those who are working through issues of anxiety, depression, transitions in life, attachment, and relationship difficulties.
Vicki has advanced training in offering grief support as well as training in Cognitive Behavior Therapy. Her practice is further informed through approaches such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Narrative therapy. She holds a Masters of Social Work from Wilfrid Laurier University and is registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) and the Ontario Association of Social Work. 6
